The Data Tab

Use the Data tab to view data related to the current project. There are options available to view the definitions of Calendars, User fields, Resources, Symbols, Globals, Rules, and Rates. Also, you can view the Change Register for the current project. If documents are attached to an activity for more information, select the activity and the Linked Documents to allow you to view these documents. A paperclip icon is indicated to the left in the Barchart Editor if documents are attached.

The Data tab is organised into two sections.

  • Setup
  • Data

Features of the Data Tab

Calendars, Profiles, Rules, Complex Rates and Change Register are unavailable if you view a project group.

Features of the Data Tab

The Data Tab has options when opening a Project Group (Portfolio or Program). Note that the Calendars, Profiles, Rules, Complex Rates and Change Register options are greyed out.

The Change Register gives you an overview of scope changes. They include the scope changes applied to the project after setting the Baseline.

Features of the Data Tab

The Change Register window organises the changes to the scope of work according to type (approved variation, variation order request, internal changes, and sub-contracted work. The correct change details with the estimates per activity and resource are needed.

The Linked Document feature allows you to associate one or several documents with an activity. The linked documents can contain work details, work descriptions, URLs pointing to a collaboration system, detailed calculations, assumptions done in Excel and more.

A paperclip next to the activity in the Activity columns area indicates a Linked Document.

From the Linked Documents window, users can read the information associated with the particular activity using the external system formats.
