Introduction

Safran's customers have a business need to access project information in external (Non-Safran) applications for retrieval and updating purposes. This document describes how this is achieved using the Safran Project Integration API, hereafter referred simply as the API. (API: Application Programming Interface). The API provides access to the project information. The API provides methods for selecting, creating, deleting, and updating project data.

Intended Audience

This document is for Safran customers who use the API to exchange data with external applications.

Software Versions

The API is designed for Safran Project version 20 and later versions. It will also work with Safran Project version 7. In the previous version the Safran API was built upon the Framework 4.8 platform, this has since changed and is now built upon .NET 8.0 Core.

Functional Overview

The API - via the web service - makes the following project information available:

• Projects/Project Previews

• Code set Definitions

• Activities and Activity Links

• Calendar Sets

• Change Order

• Resource Definitions and Resource Assignments

• Outline Codes

Prerequisites for the API

Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2026, similar or newer. With the latest Windows updates.

Internet Information Services: IIS 7.0 or above

Framework: .NET Framework 4.8, AS.NET 4,8 or above.

Processor: 1.6 GHz or faster (dual-core or better recommended).

Memory: At least 2 GB of RAM (4 GB or more recommended for better performance).

Disk Space:  At least 2 GB of available disk space for the application and dependencies.
