Pre-installation

Installing Safran Web Access for the first time

If this is the first time installing Safran Web Access, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager and expand Sites. Set the focus to the Default Web Site, then click Bindings. Change the default port to one other than 80 or 82, as these are the default ports configured by SWA during the installation.

In Sites, right-click and choose Add Website.

We recommend naming the new Website SWA and setting the Physical path to C:\inetpub\wwwroot .

Upgrading an existing instance of Safran Web Access

It is recommended to back up the SWA installation folder ("c:\inetpub\wwwroot\SWA") and uninstall all previous versions of SWA. We recommend uninstalling the previous version of SWA before installing, then upgrading the database (existing or new). Upgrade support service can be purchased; please contact Safran Support for more information.

SWA installs using ports 80 and 82. If you have other sites using these ports, we recommend you rename your existing site and change the port number from 80 to, e.g., 83. This is a manual a manual configuration as the Safran Web Access installer has no option to change this. You must also rename the SWA folder in "C:\inetpub\wwwroot".
