Safran Risk Licensing Update
Why am I receiving this notification?
We are completing the transition to a new licensing system introduced with Safran Risk 22.2.35 (September 2024). As part of this process, the previous licensing system is being decommissioned, and customers using older versions of Safran Risk must upgrade.
Which versions of Safran Risk are affected?
Customers running Safran Risk 22.2.34 or older are affected and must upgrade.
Customers using Safran Risk 22.2.35 or newer are already on the new licensing system and do not need to take any action.
What is the deadline for upgrading?
The upgrade must be completed before the end of August.
After this date, older versions (22.2.34 and earlier) will no longer be able to start.
What version should we upgrade to?
At a minimum, customers must upgrade to Safran Risk 22.2.35 or newer.
We strongly recommend upgrading to the latest available version to benefit from performance improvements, new features, and continued support.
What if our maintenance expired?
To support this transition:
- Safran Risk 22.2.36 can be installed and started even if maintenance has expired before its release.
- A valid license code is still required.
This has been done specifically to ensure all customers can complete the required upgrade.
What happens if we do not upgrade before the deadline?
If you continue using Safran Risk 22.2.34 or older after the end of August, the application will no longer start, as it will be unable to connect to the decommissioned licensing system.
Are there any firewall or network changes required?
Yes. If your organization uses firewall rules or URL whitelisting, please ensure access to:
- https://api.licensing.safran.com/api (TCP port 443)
If your environment previously allowed access to my.nalpeiron.com, this must now be replaced with the URL above.
Do we need to do anything if we have already upgraded?
No further action is required if you are already running Safran Risk 22.2.35 or newer.
However, we recommend upgrading to the latest version to take advantage of ongoing improvements and long‑term support.
Can we continue using Safran Risk without maintenance?
Yes, within limits:
- You must still upgrade to Safran Risk 22.2.35 or newer to remain operational.
- Safran Risk 22.2.36 is enabled for this purpose.
- Access to newer versions (25.1 and beyond) requires active maintenance.
